La posizione, su un versante di mezza montagna rivolto a sud, fra maestosi castagni e magnifiche vedute sulle Odle, fu gi\u00e0 nel Seicento motivo sufficiente a spingere i vescovi di Bressanone a erigere qui nel 1577 la loro residenza estiva. Intorno a Castel Velturno si estende oggi una placida localit\u00e0 di vacanza facilmente raggiungibile con ogni mezzo. Caerna, Snodres, San Pietro Mezzomonte, Giovignano e Untrum: le frazioni di Velturno riservano molte sorprese, dalle infinite possibilit\u00e0 di escursione, alle frasche in cui assaggiare in autunno castagne e vino nuovo, dai boschi ombrosi alla piscina incastonata come un gioiello nel paesaggio di mezza montagna.<\/p>\n

Escursioni tutto l\u2019anno<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il sentiero delle castagne, le malghe dell\u2019Alpe delle Vacche e di Lazfons con ristori aperti al pubblico tutto l\u2019anno, il Rifugio al Lago Rodella e la vetta Monte del Pascolo (K\u00f6nigsangerspitze 2436m): le possibilit\u00e0 di escursione vengono incontro a tutti i gusti, dalle tranquille camminate fra castagni e vigneti, alle passeggiate sul greto del fiume vicino a Caerna o, ancora, fra le alture delle Alpi Sarentine. Anche le malghe di Villandro e di Lazfons e le vicine localit\u00e0 di Barbiano e Villandro sono raggiungibili a piedi.<\/p>\n

I pendii soleggiati di Velturno: storia e cultura<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gli scavi condotti in via Tanzgasse hanno portato alla luce reperti che indicano come la felice posizione della localit\u00e0 fosse apprezzata gi\u00e0 5000 anni prima di Cristo. Anche i vescovi di Bressanone, secoli e secoli pi\u00f9 tardi, scelsero non a caso quest\u2019amena localit\u00e0 panoramica come residenza estiva.
\nOggi Velturno punta su ci\u00f2 che la natura le ha donato. Le proposte escursionistico-culturali sono incentrate su vino, castagne e tradizioni (prima fra tutte quella del T\u00f6rggelen) e promettono di arricchire felicemente ogni vacanza.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/1″][vc_column_text]
