Romantic and full of nooks and crannies<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Medieval walls and typical South Tyrolean small town atmosphere: Klausen, the heart of the Eisack valley, is a really endearing little town. The shops in the old town houses with their colourful range of goods offer local artisans’ products as well as southern specialities and a sophisticated way of life. You should pay a visit to get to know the cosiness and comfort of a cappuccino and a Kastanienherz, a local chestnut and chocolate pastry, on the village square.<\/span><\/p>\n

All routes lead from Klausen
\n<\/strong>Our promenade in unspoilt nature invites you to walk and stroll directly from the town centre. There are groves of chestnut trees,  vineyards and woodlands roundabout Klausen that offer extensive hiking facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Artists’ and D\u00fcrer town
\n<\/strong>This medieval town, overlooked by the mighty S\u00e4bener Klosterberg, quite rightly calls itself the \u201cD\u00fcrer town\u201d. Here, where a lively artistic way of life reigned even one hundred years ago, Albrecht D\u00fcrer stopped over on his journey through Italy. He made use of his portrayal of Klausen as the background under his allegoric design \u201cDas gro\u00dfe Gl\u00fcck\u201d (great fortune). Today, Klausen is still one of Italy’s most beautiful historic old towns: the fa\u00e7ades crowned with merlons, wide oriels and traditional inn signs have convinced the club \u201cI borghi pi\u00fa belli d\u00b4Italia\u201d. The Loreto treasure in the municipal museum is also worth seeing. The short hike to the S\u00e4bener Berg with its picturesque Benedictine monastery S\u00e4ben and its breath-taking view is highly interesting scenically and from a cultural heritage point of view. Klausen is 5km away from us.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
